Season 3 · Ep 138
About this episode
This morning I was standing in the shower. I was clean. I was done. I could have got out five minutes ago, and I still didn’t want to. (You know those mornings.) My brain was busy replaying every conversation I’ve had lately. Friends who are flat out. Business owners with teams that are stressed, or just plodding. A husband with a lot on. And me, trying to work out how I actually feel.
Different people, same question hiding underneath all of it: should I be pushing right now, or should I be pausing?
Here’s the plot twist. I’ve already answered that one. Back in May 2023, in Episode 2, I recorded “How to Know When to Push or Pause”, and it’s still one of my most downloaded episodes. So I went back and had a listen.
FYI: Past Candice did a great job.
But it’s October 2026, Christmas is coming at us flat out, and everyone I know is tired. So this one needed a revisit. (And yes, I think this version is better.)
In this episode:
What I did on a mega week when my own calendar and my own mood were arguing
Why week five of my eight week challenge had me torn
A few new tools for knowing which is which, including the one question I now ask myself
A quick detour for the leaders and business owners: what your team might need from you right now
Hit play, then tell me, are you pushing or pausing this week?
