Ep 123: 1300 days Alcohol-Free: The Things Nobody Tells You
Season 3 ยท Ep 123
About this episode
It was 1st July 2016. Dry July had just started.
I lasted ten hours.
Dad offered me a glass of wine after work and honestly - it wasn't even a hard decision. Dry July was done before it really began.
Fast forward to 2026 and I haven't had a drink in nearly 1,300 days.
Three and a half years. And I want to talk about it.
Not in a preachy way. Not in a "I've seen the light and you haven't" way. In an honest, real, this-is-what-actually-happens way - because there are things nobody tells you about giving up alcohol.
Things that are hard. Things that are weird. Things that will make you laugh.
This episode is for the people who don't drink, the people who are curious about stopping, the people who've dabbled in giving it a break - and yes, even the people who have zero intention of quitting but want to listen anyway so they can say "see, that's exactly why I still drink Candice."
All are welcome here.
And also... happy 3.5 years of being alcohol-free to me!!!
